Our Story

The Moving On Project was set up in 1993 by a local social worker and counselors who saw the need for more support in our community for young people. We are dedicated to providing a safe place for counseling and support.

Since 1993, we have offered one-to-one counseling for young people, helping over 440 individuals in just the last year.

The Moving on Project Appoints new Trustees


We are immensely pleased to announce that Rachelle Lia and Stewart McBride have been appointed to the Moving on Project's Board of Trustees.


Rachelle Lia is a Business Change Manager at Legal & General, the UK's largest asset manager and Stewart McBride is a Programme Director at the Office for National Statistics.


Their deep passion for helping children and young adults, combined with their professional experience, will help the charity grow and allow it to continue to deliver on its mission of providing all children and young people with access to critical health services.
