We're Here to Listen
Sometimes, life feels overwhelming. Whether it's stress at home, struggles at school, relationships, or just feeling low—we understand, and we’re here for you.
Counselling is **your space** to talk, be heard, and explore what’s going on in your life. No judgment. No pressure. Just support from someone who cares.
Getting Started: Your Counselling Journey
We know reaching out can feel like a big step, but don’t worry—we’ve made it simple. Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Getting in Touch
You can **refer yourself** or ask a trusted person (parent, teacher, friend) to help. Either:
- Fill out our referral form online (takes about 5 minutes).
- Call us at **01329 822331** if you'd rather talk to someone.
Step 2: A Friendly Chat
Before we start, we’ll have a **40-50 minute chat** with you. This helps us understand what’s going on and make sure our service is right for you.
Don’t worry—you don’t need to prepare anything. Just be yourself.
Step 3: Your Weekly Sessions
If counselling is a good fit, we’ll offer you **5 free sessions** (sometimes more if needed). Your sessions will be:
- At **The Xperience Youth Centre, Fareham** or remotely.
- On the same day & time each week.
- With the same counsellor, so you feel comfortable.
How Can Counselling Help Me?
We all face challenges—but you don’t have to go through them alone. Here’s how counselling can support you:
- It’s a **safe space** to talk about anything, without judgment.
- You’ll start to understand your emotions and what’s behind them.
- You’ll learn ways to **cope with stress, anxiety, and difficult situations**.
- Your counsellor will **support you in finding your own solutions**—not tell you what to do.
Your Privacy Matters
Everything you share is **confidential**. That means we won’t tell anyone else what you say, unless we’re worried about your safety.
If you want to know more, check out the BACP confidentiality guidelines.
